Welcome.  I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and the Watson School for International and Public Affairs at Brown University.  My research concerns the politics of climate change, energy politics, social movements, and international NGOs. My latest book is titled Crowded Out: The Competitive Landscape of Contemporary International NGOs (with Sarah Bush).  A related piece titled "The End of the Age of NGOs? How Civil Society Lost Its Post–Cold War Power" recently appeared in Foreign Affairs.
